The Cambridge Lakes project believe it is critical that the community is informed and consulted about a new urban park to ensure what is eventually delivered is a best-fit for East Cambridge and its communities.

To aid this process we decided to run a community survey which would have the dual purpose of publicising the park concept and soliciting community opinion. The survey opened in mid-July and ran until the 28th of September. The survey results will not be used to set policy as there will need to be further official consultations in the future, but it is a ‘finger in the wind’ of community opinion that will help shape the approach of stakeholders in the project.

The results of the survey can be found in this downloadable pdf  SURVEY_REPORT.

Hello, I have only just read about this scheme in the local press and think it is wonderful. I’d like to give Steve Turville an enormous hug. An amenity such as this is vital in congested Cambridge as the city skyline is becoming more like Manhattan. For our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being we need natural spaces. This project must go ahead. Pauline
